General information
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Austrian data protection laws.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have regarding your personal data.
Website access and server logs
When you access this website, our servers automatically process certain technical information that your browser transmits with each request. This applies both to the web server that delivers the pages and to our API, which handles the waitlist and feature-voting requests described below.
This information may include:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Requested page, file, or API endpoint
- HTTP status code
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (if provided)
These data are processed solely to operate this website securely and reliably, to detect and resolve technical issues, and to prevent misuse. In particular, your IP address is processed on a short-term basis to enforce rate limits that protect our forms and API against automated abuse.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of our website).
Hosting
This website and its backend (application and database) are hosted by:
Hetzner Online GmbH
Industriestraße 25
91710 Gunzenhausen
Germany
Hetzner processes personal data on our behalf solely for the purpose of providing the hosting infrastructure required to operate this website. A data processing agreement has been concluded in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.
Waitlist
If you sign up for our waitlist, we process the information you provide in the sign-up form.
- Data processed: your email address, together with the date and time of your sign-up.
- Purpose: to add you to our waitlist and to contact you about the launch of, and early access to, lynq.ing.
- Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You give this consent by ticking the consent box when you sign up.
- Storage: your email address is stored in our own database, which runs on the hosting infrastructure described under “Hosting”. It is not shared with any third party.
- Retention: we keep your email address until the waitlist has fulfilled its purpose (for example, until launch) or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first.
- Withdrawal: you may withdraw your consent and request deletion at any time, with effect for the future, by contacting us using the details above. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- Voluntary: providing your email address is entirely voluntary. There is no statutory or contractual obligation to provide it; the only consequence of not providing it is that you cannot join the waitlist.
Feature voting
Our site lets you upvote upcoming features to signal your interest.
When you upvote a feature, no personal data is collected. Only an anonymous, aggregate vote count is increased on our server. We do not store your IP address, an identifier, or any other personal data in connection with your vote.
To prevent accidental double-voting, your browser records that you have voted using a local storage entry (see “Cookies and local storage”). This information stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us.
Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR on this website.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use cookies. No cookies are used for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or other marketing purposes.
The only client-side storage we use is local storage, limited to the following strictly functional entries. Each is stored only in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings:
lynq_feature_vote_…— remembers which features you have already upvoted, so that the interface can prevent accidental double-voting.lynq_waitlist_bar— remembers whether you have kept the waitlist sign-up bar open or dismissed it, so that your choice is preserved when you reload the page or move between pages.
These entries do not contain personal data and are not used for analytics, tracking, profiling, or advertising.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the personal data you voluntarily provide (such as your name, email address, and the content of your message) solely to respond to your inquiry. Our mailboxes are hosted by an email provider located in the European Union, which acts as a processor on our behalf.
Legal basis:
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, where processing is necessary for pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract.
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, where processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries.
Your data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.
External services
This website does not use external services or third-party resources such as analytics services, advertising networks, embedded videos, social media plugins, externally hosted fonts, or content delivery networks (CDNs). The fonts used on this site are hosted on our own servers.
Data retention
Personal data will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or to comply with applicable legal obligations.
Server logs that contain your IP address are retained only for as long as necessary to ensure the secure and reliable operation of the website and to investigate technical faults or security incidents, and are deleted once that purpose no longer applies. Waitlist data is retained as described in the “Waitlist” section. Email correspondence is retained only as long as required to process your inquiry or to comply with legal obligations.
Data recipients
We operate our own application and database, so your personal data is not routinely disclosed to third parties. Our hosting provider (see “Hosting”) acts as a data processor on our behalf and provides the infrastructure on which this data is stored.
Apart from our hosting provider, personal data will not be disclosed to third parties unless:
- disclosure is required by law;
- it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
- you have given your explicit consent.
International data transfers
No personal data is intentionally transferred to countries outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA). Our servers are located in Germany.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- the right of access to your personal data;
- the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), where legally applicable;
- the right to restriction of processing;
- the right to data portability, where applicable;
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- the right to withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the contact details provided above.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
For Austria, this is:
